RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a CFO in Michigan (MI). Summary The Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The CFO leads the finance department and is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFO reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer and directly assists the Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, reimbursement, forecasting, treasury, revenue cycle, the securing of new funding and supply chain. The CFO administers, directs and monitors all hospital financial activities and keeps the hospital CEO, HealthTech and the hospital Board of Trustees informed of the financial condition. Duties:
  • Works with the hospital CEO, corporate staff, Regional Vice President, Assistant Vice President (AVP), hospital board and employees to develop financial goals and objectives for the hospital
  • Provides proactive, sound guidance regarding management of assets and investments, and financial trends within the facility
  • Works with department managers and patient care executives to implement financial plans and productivity benchmarks, and to monitor progress toward financial goals
  • Involved in system management approaches, corporate performance and the growth of a team-oriented culture
  • Employs a system of responsible accounting, including budget and internal controls
  • Ensures that monthly financial statements and bi-weekly productivity reports are completed and distributed on a timely basis
  • Ensures that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and a system of internal controls are in place to facilitate a clean audit opinion with no audit adjustments or internal control deficiencies noted


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field; Master's in Accounting or Healthcare Administration
  • CPA is a must
Strongly preferred:
  • Minimum of eight years hospital financial management experience required
  • Prior CFO experience preferred
  • System Hospital experience preferred
