Director, Product Management - Product Readiness, Global Bill Pay

Overview:
As Mastercard seeks to define a world beyond cash, we are pursuing payment opportunities leveraging non-card technologies. Mastercard's acquisition of Vocalink adds Real-Time Payments (RTP) to our solution set, allowing us to capture new segments of cash, check and ACH payments for the network. The largest identified opportunity for Mastercard in the U.S. is in revolutionizing consumer bill pay. The current consumer bill pay experience is cumbersome, costly, slow and fragmented. By combining our RTP assets with our existing biller directory and bill pay capability RPPS (Remote Payment and Presentment System), we can bring a solution to market that improves this outdated ecosystem for all parties involved. To win in the market, we will also leverage our strengths in brand, standards, consistency, trust and security.
To accomplish this, we are building a world-class bill pay product and network, known as Bill Pay Exchange. The product launched in late 2019, and we are now focused on commercialization and gaining scale. We are engaging key external partners to build out an ecosystem of players, including the largest US consumer banks, processors, billers, billing service providers and treasury banks. We are also working with internal partners including North American (NAM) Issuing Teams, Acceptance teams, Marketing, PR, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Franchise, Platforms and O&T to deliver our solution.

Role:
This role will be part of the Bill Pay Exchange team and report to the SVP for Bill Pay Exchange. The team is part of Mastercard's broader North America New Payment Flows organization.
This individual will be responsible for activities pertaining to marketing and promoting Bill Pay Exchange, as well as support for strategic initiatives and activities related to managing the product and driving growth.
Detailed Responsibilities:
* Understand and continue to refine value proposition for Bill Pay Exchange, incorporating customer feedback from partnership teams.
* Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute go-to-market plans including development of outbound awareness/sales campaigns, trade events, infomercials, and foundational sales materials. Proactively identify additional opportunities to promote
* Develop and drive all Bill Pay Exchange training programs, and overview sessions
* Continue to monitor and source competitive intelligence related to Bill Pay, and syndicate with team
* Lead ad hoc strategic initiatives as necessary throughout the year (e.g., virtual card assessment)
* Collaborate with finance to monitor and manage overall team budget and funding requirements
* Work collaboratively with internal Regional and Global teams to support business initiatives and task forces
* Collaborate with the Global Bill Pay team to oversee maintenance and refinement of Bill Pay Exchange rules to reflect NAM needs
* Chair weekly and monthly Bill Pay Exchange team meetings
* Provide ad hoc support for SVP and team to further accelerate results

* Prior consulting / marketing / sales effectiveness experience a plus

Education/Certification Requirements
* Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
* Purchase office location, with flexibility to work out of Tech Hub on occasion
