SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Provide SAP HR technical and functional support and maintenance.  This position works closely with IT and plays a crucial role in delivering HCM customer-centric technology solutions to the organization. In addition, this position supports Amtrak HR to ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•  Participate in SAP HR projects often including a cross-functional team in order to enhance existing applications or install new ones to support the delivery of HR services and/or upgrade the company’s employee management information system.
•  Assist HR Technology leadership team in partnering with IT, Payroll and Finance technology liaisons to discuss and resolve employee master data requirements necessary to execute changes to Payroll and/or Financial applications.
•  Works with HR partners, IT and client organizations to rollout plans for the deployment of new SAP functionalities.
•  Works with clients to assess, and determine their data needs and/or assist clients with development of business workflow processes associated with utilizing SAP HR applications, including coordination with teams, and working with senior HR Technology team members to develop test plans and implementation strategies.
•  Assists with implementing and coordinating business process changes, data accuracy audits and end user training.
•  Seeks ways to regularly enhance user community understanding of SAP and other people management technology applications.


WORK EXPERIENCE:
•  Requires some relevant experience and a BS/BA degree ; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position
•  Demonstrates a strong customer focus and has an ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships.
•  Problem-solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously are essential
•  Able to apply problem resolution skills to effectively address technology related business issues
•  Requires ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
•  SAP HCM (PA, OM, Benefits, Payroll, Time Management, LSO) or other HRIS applications
•  Prior experience with SAP or other HR ERP systems (Oracle, Peoplesoft, Lawson) required
•  Experience with Concur and Ariba


PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
•  Knowledge of SAP HCM applications/products
•  Success Factors or other SaaS products
•  Knowledge of general Human Capital (HR)

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
