Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager, Part Time, $20-$25/Hour to become a part of team! You will be responsible for managing HR activities for the organization.

HR Responsibilities:

  • Implement company culture, values, handbook, and policies across multiple states.  Oversees benefits administration to include all company benefits, claims resolutions, change reporting and re-evaluation of policies regarding cost-effectiveness, information activities programs and other issues.
  • Develop workforce strategies, to recruit and develop qualified candidates
  • Maintains compliance with all federal rules and regulations including EEOC, AAP, DOL Wage and Hour, FMLA, and others
  • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition and dedication
  • Advocate for employee retention and development
  • Assist managers with HR needs or issues
  • Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records
  • Participate in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions
  • Oversees all benefits including health, vision, dental, 401k, and worker’s compensation claims.
  • Has a working relationship with outside legal counsel to ensure policies, procedures, reports, letters, actions, decisions, and responses comply with all Federal and State laws.
  • Resolves technical, personnel and labor relations questions raised by various team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and required.

HR Support

  • Administer tasks for on-boarding to give the new staff a superior first-day experience.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and qualification activities.
  • Suggest improved process and procedure to maintain a vibrant, empowered workforce.
  • Provide effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to the development of policies.
  • Work with our outsourced provider of HR administration for common needs.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources or other related fields of at least 2 years as a Generalist 
  • Experience in conflict resolution 
  • Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws 
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees
  • Strong leadership qualities

The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities. Will coordinate human resources activities. Administrates employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and all other human resources services. The strategic activities will include taking part in long-term planning with leadership, operations, sales, and support functions. This will include developing hiring plans, reviewing current needs and future needs, workforce development, analysis of market needs, a workforce plan that matches our growth plan, taking into account the development desires/needs of our existing staff, reviewing current benefits and more. The operational responsibilities will include maintaining a fair, inclusive and diverse workplace, supporting the daily HR needs of existing staff and administering all HR related processes. This role works directly with an outside PEO to administer benefits, as well as with an internal payroll clerk and managers that are responsible for timekeeping, policy administration, and safe operating procedures.
