Are you a passionate and rigorous Mechanical Engineer who wants, within an engineering team, to design and develop technological product for an international company like Markem-Imaje??


In this role youll bea member of the NAM Mechanical Engineering team, designing and developing the mechanical assemblies for the latest Markem-Imaje marking and coding equipment.


Youll have an opportunity toutilize your strengths and continue professional development in mechanical design, CFD and thermal FEA analysis; develop and exercise skills using standard methods and innovative techniques driving to technical solutions; and become a major stakeholder with multidisciplinary teams taking advantage of flexible opportunities for professional advancement.


To guarantee success, you will requirea Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology and possess advanced skills on CAD systems, ideally CreO3 or greater from PTC; intermediate to advanced skills in thermal control analysis, including CFD; a taste for operational work and a craving for technology; and the ability to drive design in an collaborative environment.


Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:

•   Design mechanical assemblies or subassemblies for our product range with the responsibility for compliance between technical options and specifications requirements.

•   Interact with other engineering disciplines during the design process. Work with systems that are a combination of mechanical, electrical, and software elements.

•   Initiate design reviews for mechanical assemblies within a comprehensive system design

•   Ensure the development of the products from design through manufacturing, write technical specifications and lead component selection related to your expertise field.

•   Participate actively in the validation of design decisions and manage each to validate criteria related to quality, cost and timing.

•   Provide analysis (thermal, stress, CFD, etc.) and perform lab tests of mechanical parts and assemblies to verify and support design decisions.

•   Collect data from tests, compile into reports, and succinctly communicating to stakeholders..

•   Work closely with the other project partners, internal (other departments within the company) and external (suppliers, subcontractors, and customers) collecting information to resolve issues, mechanical in nature.

•   Promote common design rules, methodologies, and technology strategies.

•   Provide estimates for assigned work with guidance from senior mechanical engineers.


Education and/or Experience Required:

•   Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

•   Advanced skills on a CAD system, ideally CreO3 from PTC, with thermal analysis experience.

•   Experience designing industrial products with various constraints and progressive designs.

This new, state-of-the-art, Global Design Center will be the hub for New Product Introduction of Laser- and DOD-based products. The office is situated close to Boston with easy access by car or public transportation.
