Description

Responsible for strategically planning and leading IT and eCommerce related projects from inception through production release. Leads cross-functional teams of business analysts, user experience analysts, developers, quality assurance analysts, IT leaders and eCommerce leaders to deliver high-quality system applications website functionality. Supports project management office (PMO) leader in strategic roadmap planning, project methodologies, process improvements, tool selection and release planning.

Detailed Description

· Responsible for managing execution of complex projects, updating schedules, aligning resources and leading project teams to deliver high quality functionality.

· Works autonomously to drive projects forward, communicates project status, issues and risks in concise, accurate, and data driven manner.

· Leads sprint planning sessions, sprint retrospectives, product demos, scrum meetings and other associated Agile Scrum activities.

· Collaborates with project sponsors, stakeholders, IT leaders, eCommerce leaders, organization leaders, business teams, technical teams and vendors to define and deliver large complex projects.

· Anticipates project roadblocks, bottlenecks, responds to change, escalates issues when needed, and balances business needs versus technical constraints.

· Plans and strategically manages multiple parallel projects in coordination with other Project Managers

· Identifies, assesses, tracks and mitigates issues and risks.

· Provides project status updates to internal teams and PMO Leader.

· Drives effective and efficient teamwork, communication and commitment across cross-functional teams with competing priorities.

· Responsible for managing individual project budgets.Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

Large scale project management in eCommerce, IT or a related industry - 5 years required, 7 years preferred.

Leading cross-functional teams - 5 years required, 7 years preferred.

B2B or B2C eCommerce and associated systems - 5 years required.

Working with 3rd party vendors and contract resources - 5 years required.

Managing project budgets - 5 years required.

Strong grasp of current web technologies and related business issues - 5 years required.

Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodology. Agile Development software (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket and Zephyr) - 5 years required.

EDUCATION:

Masters' Degree Preferred

Bachelors' Degree Required Computer science, software related field or equivalent experience in the industry.

Licenses/Certificates/Designations: Preferred Agile Scrum and/or PMP

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated thorough understanding of project management, systems development life cycle and Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Proven track record of success leading transformational projects at large scale companies.

Strong bias for action and continuous improvement. to enter text.

Detail oriented yet able to see the larger landscape of a project initiative.

Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and escalate appropriately when needed.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to manage through change in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Including listening skills, concise communications and ability to target messages for specific audiences.

Demonstrated analytical thinker with strong technical skills.

Working Environment:

· General Office – Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
