Quality Engineer
Location: St. Paul, MN, US
Job Summary: 
Responsible for being a program leader for the quality organization at CPC.  Will define and implement new projects to improve customer satisfaction and support our continued growth.  
 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality focused projects associated a variety of industries that could include (but not limited to):  automotive, medical device, thermal management, . 
  • Develop and manage project scope, budget and timing. 
  • Quality representative on projects being led by Manufacturing or Continuation Engineering.
  • Collaborate with the complaint teams to lead projects that improve customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate project status to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • May own CAPAs.
  • Operates within CPC Quality System.
  • Keeps current in the field with internal and external education and training.
  • Adheres and is knowledgeable to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support of Colder core values.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

 

Essential Supervisory Responsibilities:   

  • None

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Quality Engineer in a Production Support environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience in either program management or project leadership role.
  • Understanding of up to date quality theories, methods and approaches
  • Passion for improvement and drive for change to meet customer needs
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • ERP software experience
  • Excel, Microsoft, statistical Software

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of CPC parts or equivalent
  • ASQ participation and certification(s)
  • Knowledge of injection molding, machining, and automated assembly processes
  • Any experience with regulated work environments (medical device, pharma, other)
  • Experience with customer complaints
  • Experience working in ISO13485 environment

  • Up to 10%
