Location: Chicago, IL

Quantitative Middle Office Product Control Specialist

Assist in the buildout and operation of a reconciliation process that monitors product taxonomy treatment differences between the firm's real time reporting platform and the product taxonomy engine housed in the firm's sub-ledger. This process has tight deliverable timelines and will require the right person to work with multiple teams within the bank including technology and operations groups.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with technology and operations personnel
  • Deliver a working reconciliation and reporting tool that will be used to explain taxonomy differences
  • Assess daily production data for reasonableness
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of reasons for breaks in the reconciliation / reporting tool
  • Work with technology to transition solution to strategic implementation
  • Validate and explain drivers of taxonomy differences between platforms

Required skills:

  • Masters degree or higher in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or Quantitative field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical skills including experience using Excel, VBA and SQL
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of FX derivative products
  • Experience working with OTC derivatives
  • At least 2 years of industry experience

Desired skills:

  • Python programming experience
