The position is responsible for maintaining paper and computerized technical records in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and General Maintenance Manual requirements.


  • Provides for the keeping of aircraft records required by the Federal Aviation Administration and General Maintenance Manual.
  • Receives, audits, sorts, files, and performs data entry as required for aircraft maintenance documents.
  • Maintain flight and maintenance data into the computing system including aircraft times and cycles.
  • Ensures data entry is correct by accomplishing data audits.
  • Audit/update all component change data as retrieved from component tags and /or logs pages in the computer system to track rotable components for each aircraft.
  • Files or archives aircraft records either by physical filing or digital scanning methods and retrieves requested files in an efficient manner when needed.
  • Maintains records of airframe component hours and cycles.
  • Resolves all records discrepancies as necessary.
  • Assists the Supervisor in defining work assignments for the Records Analysts.
  • Assist Analysts in accomplishing their work assignments by training and/or clarifying requirements.
  • Accomplishes other duties as assigned by the Records Supervisors.


  • High School graduate, some college preferred.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of basic programs and utilities (Excel, Word, Access, etc...)
  • Ability to read & decipher technical aircraft data and/or material required.
  • Solid writing, communication, and computer skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail required.
  • Aviation records experience required.
  • Trax program experience preferred.
