Job Description


This is a remote, work from home, opportunity.


The supervisor will oversee the day to day operations of a team which includes, Subrogation Investigation, Case Management, Settlement and all related tasks of the case from cash posting, performing administrative duties, and working on ad hoc projects. This role will be responsible for training initiatives on recovery processes, as needed, to ensure that the proper level of expertise exists on the team and insuring that performance metrics, quality performance, and business objectives are met. Deliver positive recoveries for our clients while meeting the budget and compliance parameters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervises assigned staff; including responsibility for recruiting and performance management
  • Manage inventory to insure that all is worked timely and accurately.
  • Performs the daily activities of the assigned functional team members; intake, investigation, case management, settlement and recovery
  • Prioritizes work of self and others when requested and makes case assignments when needed
  • Efficiently on-boards new clients and ensures team is knowledgeable on all new client specifications
  • Serves as first escalation point
  • Manages operational workflows and meets internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Communicates team goals and provides encouragement
  • Provides reports and updates to the Manager and other management as scheduled or requested
  • Ensures all processes meet HIPAA and all client security requirements with regards to sharing/storage/PHI
  • Identifies and develops process improvements
  • Conduct team meetings and participates in ad hoc meetings
  • Analyzes and makes conclusions from multiple sources to make effective decisions on client, team and business needs – communicates possible solutions to Manager
  • Interacts with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, court staff, recipients and family members and client
  • Identifies and recommends team-building activities that results in highly engaged employees and a positive culture

Required Experience:

  • Experience in managing front line processing staff of 10 to 15 employees
  • College Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Excel and other MS Suite products knowledge
  • Good organizational, analytical and independent decision-making skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet associated timelines
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Relevant experience in managing teams of 10 or more employees is preferred
  • Previous experience handling insurance subrogation matters is a plus
  • Claims knowledge (preferred)
  • Hiring, training and onboarding staff
  • Subrogation experience with another organization (preferred)
