The Technical Analyst III is primarily responsible for defining and performing analysis, design, programming, planning, and implementation of systems software and procedures which require a thorough technical and systems knowledge; manages, plans, organizes, and controls projects which have a moderate organizational impact; provides day-to-day support for complex applications systems.

  1. Analyzes, designs, plans, tests, and deploys complex systems software and programs; researches and defines problem functions involving existing systems and programs; develops and reviews input and output requirements and recommends appropriate design to meet those requirements; develops program specifications and flowcharts for use in coding and documenting the system’s software programs; develops internal controls and ensures that programs work together properly.
  2. Provides day-to-day support for the operation of complex application systems by analyzing reports and outputs, system documentation, and user procedures and by reviewing input data and coordinating with multiple vendors and service providers when necessary.
  3. Develops complex test plans and scenarios and designs and conducts program and integrated system tests to validate application functionality and ensure integration with existing systems.
  4. Trains user personnel on new or modified systems by preparing training materials and conducting training one-on-one or in a classroom setting.
  5. Provides reports through the use of report writers or through coordination with service providers; designs and documents reports necessary to fulfill the information needs of the business unit.
  6. Keeps management informed of progress and issues, particularly as to needed changes in schedule, resources, or product status.

  • Thorough knowledge of banking applications systems, products, operations and delivery systems
  • Thorough knowledge of management information systems
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient PC skills including spreadsheets, word processors, and report writers and with a good working knowledge of software developments tools
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or MIS and 8-10 years experience in MIS or related field or 15-17 years equivalent work experience.
