Job Description:
The National Account leader will lead the development and implementation of strategies to profitably grow sales of lighting, lighting control, and IOT based solutions with a key end user focus in the National Account marketplace. This leader will be responsible for driving differentiation of Acuity Brands Lighting solutions and creating an aligned ecosystem catered to the various customers that surround the project life cycle. Additionally, this leader will create a robust, direct customer interaction utilizing key stakeholders and customers to surround the accounts and drive preference for Acuity Brands solutions in key verticals.

How you will contribute:

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate strategic leadership capability through design and implementation of a unified strategy in a highly matrixed organization to drive initiatives to create market advantage
• Ensure product teams develop roadmaps that satisfy strategic objectives for the consumer retail channel and unplanned renovation space while reducing channel conflict
• Lead the execution of sales strategies, using the continuous improvement methodologies, to set performance objectives that drive focus and accountability measures to ensure goal achievement and increased productivity across the organization
• Identify, develop and retain talent to ensure the accomplishment of established targets and provide leadership to improve succession management, sales performance, and business continuity
• Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large/national accounts to drive Acuity Brands awareness, preference and new customer opportunities
• Demonstrate and Maintain a strong understanding of the marketplace dynamics including competitive and customer trends that will encourage identification of new opportunities

 

Qualified Applicants will have:

 

Minimum Requirements:
• A four-year college degree is required for this position
• 10-15 years of experience in managing products/brands sold through the traditional electrical market
• Strong understanding of how to work with key end users, electrical distributors, electrical contractors, electrical engineers
• Solid understanding of product line design and product development processes
