Position Overview

Precision Planting is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a warehouse superintendent with a high degree of knowledge in the receiving, inventory and warehousing field.

This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to apply your experience in these fields to recommend and administer procedures and processes in the functional areas, contribute to a team effort, coach and develop new staff and to foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyzes and resolves problems in defined areas and demonstrates solid knowledge of process and procedures.
  • Provides supervision to employees in the areas of Warehousing, Inventory  and Receiving.
  • Coordinates cross functionally with employees in the areas of QC, Shipping and Production.
  • Supervises warehouse activities in multiple locations to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and defined internal controls.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving and warehousing
  • Maintain harmony among employees and resolve grievances.  
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
  • Enforces safety protocols and procedures
  • Monitors the work flow and ensures the proper positioning of employees to efficiently complete the work.
  • Strives for continuous improvement in processes and employees using Lean concepts.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
  • A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks, with supervisory activities constituting a primary part of the job.
  • Leads team meetings and addresses issues or accolades with the team.
  • Works with Shipping, QC and Production Manager in formulating and administering procedures and processes for the department.
  • Develop leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned team members.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of established warehouse supervisory and management expertise
  • Bachelors degree preferred, not required
  • Experience in GP ERP System and SCALE WMS System, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of conventional management and warehousing fundamentals
