Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. As a Software Engineer II in FAST Labs Engineering you will:

• Work on some of the most challenging EW, Cyber, and Autonomous Platforms to meet our customer's needs.
• Assist on the evaluation and design of highly complex and innovative software architectures.
• Be part of a small fast technical team of 5 to 10 people.
• Be mentored and trained by some of the best engineers and scientists in the electronic warfare community.
• Be part of interactions with customers to understand their requirements and guide development efforts to meet their needs.
• Create software! Typically, in C++/C/Rust but in other languages as well.
• Bring your PASSION for our missions!

This position may require occasional U.S. domestic travel to support integration and test events.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience with Object Oriented design, development practices, and implementation in C++ or other OO language
• Active/Current TOP SECRET clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Real-time, embedded, multi-threaded, low latency development
• Tools: GIT, Jira, Confluence
• Agile Development experience
• Designing and/or implementing complex software algorithms,

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
