Join us as a Securitized Product Quant Vice President. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance models and analytics libraries that support the pricing, risk, and P&L of a broad range of securitized products, including RMBS, CMBS, ABS and CLOs. Your experience in structured finance and interest rate modeling such as LMM or FMM will be key to supporting risk calculations. Collaborating closely with quants, technologists, and business stakeholders, you’ll play a critical role in delivering scalable analytics in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

To be successful as a Securitized Product Quant Vice President, you should have experience with:

  • Advanced proficiency in C++11/14/17
  • Practical knowledge in at least two of the following: Intex tranche cashflows, daily risk & P&L explain or interest rate term structure models

  • Familiarity with regulatory risk frameworks such as CCAR, FRTB, and stress testing methodologies

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in a high stakes trading and risk environment

  • Excellent communication skills to interface with trading, risk, and regulatory stakeholders

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across quant, tech, and business teams

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in our New York, New York office.

Minimum Salary: $150,000

Maximum Salary: $225,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of quantitative models and strategies to derive insight into market trends and optimize trading decisions, pricing, and risk management across various financial products and markets.
  • Working closely with sales teams to identify clients' needs and develop customised solutions.
  • In-depth research, data analysis, and statistical modelling to derive insights into market trends, pricing, and risk dynamics.
  • Provide front office infrastructure support though ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries.
  • Provision of expertise on quantitative methodologies, technological advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation within the trading environment.

  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
