Director, Workplace Strategy
The Role
As part of the Real Estate Strategy Team, you will lead and work across key business units as well as functions within Real Estate, Dynamic Working and Workforce Planning to develop short-term and long-term strategies that support Fidelity's business and achieves Real Estate objectives. This includes leading and driving partnerships with business units to provide strategic support across the portfolio where there are critical needs or where groups have dedicated or specialized space. This high impact role will help build and maintain strong partnerships across the company while having a data-driven mindset for decision making. The ability to understand business unit requirements, clearly frame options and a recommendation, proactively communicate with key stakeholders, and provide ongoing strategic counsel to both business units and real estate leaders is a must. This role will bring structured problem-solving and storytelling ability to the team and have a keen interest in how Fidelity optimizes its physical footprint and the onsite associate experience.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required
- A minimum 7 years of experience in decision support roles (strongly preferred), strategy and planning, relationship management, or related fields
- Expert proficiency in PowerPoint and strong proficiency in Excel
- Ability to develop compelling, logically structured presentations and narratives to facilitate decision-making for executive-level audiences
- Proven track record of performing detailed analyses and building frameworks to organize information, break down problems, and frame opportunities
- Ability to influence decision-making through written and verbal communications grounded in data and insights
- Confidence in communication and strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Excellent management, critical thinking and project management skills
- Comfort and success working in a fast-paced culture with high visibility and many concurrent priorities
- Ability to apply knowledge of Real Estate functions, properties, and processes to provide insight to complex strategic challenges
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with outstanding work quality
Other Requirements
- Ability to be onsite at Fidelity locations a minimum of 50% of the time
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
