Job Purpose
Responsible for gas capital investment governance to ensure capital plan is being executed in accordance with budgetary allowances. Work with Asset Management and Gas Operations to ensure projects are within DOA/ Sanction figures and align to business plans. Support the development for Rate Cases throughout the Gas Business. Ensure investment management systems such as copperleaf accurately represents investment details and align to the 5-year business plan. Works collaboratively with functional leaders to optimize operating efficiency and ensure that an executable plan is aligned with financial, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the planning, organization, and coordination of the development of Rate Cases for the Gas Business
- Support regulatory activities in each of our operating jurisdictions through the analysis of past and future
Investment plans. The support to include rate case testimony, information and data requests, and periodic reports. - Support the development of Rate Case Testimony.
- Organize and develop presentation material to communicate plans to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure investment management system copperleaf is updated to reflect project details and value models
- Prepare sanction papers for their annual blanket/program work over $2.5m each year. Work such as Base Growth, City/State Construction (Public Works), Proactive
- Leak Prone Pipe Replacement, Reactive Main/Service Replacements due to Leak/Non-Leak, etc.
- Prepare sanction papers for any specific funding project $2.5m or greater.
- Prepare sanction closure papers for the above annual blanket/program work and specific funding projects. This includes providing process owners with annual actual cost control reports for each of the blanket/program and specific funding projects.
- Preparing re-sanction papers for any specific/blanket/program funding projects $2.5m or greater.
- Utilize SharePoint to properly post their sanction papers, initiate workflow, apply proper version #'s, etc.
- Update PowerPlant with annual blanket/program work under $2.5m each year.
- Run project cost reports out of Powerplant as needed.
- Answer Audit/SOX requests around Capital Planning, Project Sanctioning, DoA Overruns.
Qualifications
BA/BS Degree or Associate Degree
Must possess strong computer skills and the ability to analyze data and develop concise presentations.
An ability to review, proofread, and tie out numerical data and analysis to a high level of accuracy and confidence.
Skilled in financial data mining software including Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Plant, Power BI, Alteryx
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Salary
$73,000 - $86,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
