What You Will Do<\/b>
Provides organizational, administrative and supervisory support to the physicians, administration and staff in the Radiation Therapy Department.

Essential Functions<\/b><\/p>
Monitors and follow up on all monthly variances. Assists in the preparation for the annual department budget.
Acts as liaison to Patient Financial Services to ensure continuity in billing process between Sharp departments and maximize standardization in billing procedures.
Assures that department charges are completed in a timely manner with proper coding. Knowledgeable in therapy charges and their applications.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure accurate billing.
Cross-trained and fully competent in all radiation billing and coding functions.
Utilize current computer system. Obtains pre-registration information on all patients and obtains authorizations as necessary.
Maintains a current fee schedule.
Responds to problem statements from business office and provides proper documentation to assist in collections.
Works with physician and admissions to negotiate payment arrangements for cash paying patients.<\/li>
Coordinates all front office responsibilities to include telephone, receptionists\/scheduling, authorizations\/referral, medical records charge entry and billing.<\/li>
Develop or assist in drafting policies and procedures for all non-clinical areas. Assure compliance with all regulatory standards. Maintain primary files of all policies and procedures. Participate in preparation for and compliance with all JCAHO and other regulatory surveys.
Coordinate and oversee engineering facility repair orders for the department as needed.
Coordinate any communications\/information systems problems\/needs under the direction of the Manager. Oversee daily\/weekly Information Systems reports and distribution.
Manage supplies and office equipment for department. No work delays due to missing or inadequate supplies.<\/li>
Participates as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee within the department.
Participates in weekly chart round and reports findings. Participation necessary at 95% of meetings to ensure proper documentation.
Completes all annual safety requirements including safety modules, observes proper safety precautions. Evaluation based on review of journals kept in department.<\/li>
Acts as prime liaison between Radiation Oncology Department and referring physicians' offices in coordinating appointments and obtaining all necessary information for physician to consult and initiate patient treatment.
Coordinates patient schedules with ancillary departments such as radiology, outpatient surgery, admitting and nursing staff, as necessary, to provide the most efficient patient care.<\/li><\/ul>

What You Will Do<\/b>
The Mental Health Associate is a nursing caregiver who works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide patient care in accordance with each patient's IPOC (interdisciplinary plan of care), hospital policies and procedures and unit\/program guidelines.

What You Will Do<\/b>
Coordinates all registration functions necessary to ensure the processing of a clean claim including but not limited to obtaining and processing patient demographics, visit and financial information in a manner that facilitate maximum financial reimbursement and promotes premier customer service. This role utilizes Patient Secure to identify the accurate patient medical record while adhering to EMTALA regulations and performs face-to-face interviews directly with patients and\/or their designated representatives. Accurate identification and delivery of regulatory documents and securing patient financial responsibility is a key responsibility.

Create patient chart for physician and organize charts for the HIM department. Compile workers' compensation paperwork for the ED physician.

Customer Information Center duties (SCO only):
Initiate ED Code calls using the overhead paging system and Code Log Book online.

Patient Safety:
Authenticate and\/or enroll patient at workstations where Patient Secure palm scanner is available. Follow established guidelines such as scripting and picture identification for enrollment and authentication.

What You Will Do<\/b>
The Mental Health Associate is a nursing caregiver who works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide patient care in accordance with each patient's IPOC (interdisciplinary plan of care), hospital policies and procedures and unit\/program guidelines.

Observes and promptly reports any potentially unsafe patient behaviors in accordance with approved observation protocols.

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.<\/p>

What You Will Do<\/b>
Provide leadership and direction in the development and support of IT Applications. Responsible for managing the day to day activities of assigned Information Technology Applications team and coordinating activities with multiple IT teams and Sharp department to develop, maintain, support, and enhance applications.

Lead efforts to provide continuous availability and maintenance of systems.
Management oversight for projects and efforts including prioritization, resource utilization, timeline development and task completion.
Ensure optimum use of the systems by users.
Create, promote and ensure a customer service orientation for the department as outlined in the Sharp standards.
Insure adequate communications with vendors regarding application maintenance, enhancements and support.
Support other IT departmental needs.
Promote teamwork between individuals and between IT departments.
Assure adherence to SHC and department safety regulations and guidelines.
Monitor application modification requests and ensure best practices are being utilized.
Ensure that the team is responding to, and troubleshooting, reported problems pertaining to the application performance and reliability in a timely manner.
Recommend and administer the budget and participate in the IT Applications planning process.
Responsible for recruiting and retention, employee onboarding, and performance evaluations for assigned team.<\/li>\n
Manage and track resource allocation
Communicate project objectives, milestones and status to management staff. Obtain consensus and approval on required changes.
Promote inter-department partnerships, teamwork and cooperation to support achievement of the IT departments' goals.
Effectively participate in the Event Management process in assigned role.
Actively participates in department governance meetings: operations, new work, etc.<\/li>\n
Motivate and communicate feedback frequently to supervised employees.
Complete performance appraisals on the due date.
Positively resolve interpersonal conflicts between employees and their peers or clients.
Achieve positive scores on annual employee satisfaction survey in the area of communication, work organization and supervision.
Develop internal training programs, arrange internal and external training sessions and provide training to employees.<\/li>\n
Gain understanding of users' needs by participating in project workgroups.
Represent Sharp IT's interests with industry groups.
Work with vendors to communicate Sharp HealthCare's application needs.
Represent Sharp in vendor user groups.
Conduct on site and telephone visits with clients.
Exercise leadership by participating in IT Steering Committees.
Participate in IT-wide projects and work groups to promote departmental needs and contributions.
Participate in Sharp HealthCare-wide work groups to enhance usage of Information Systems applications.<\/li>\n
Assure availability of systems to exceed agreed available time.
Provide accurate and timely reporting from system applications to assist IT management and staff in their objectives.
Testing - Take responsibility for the integrity of testing activities for assigned team to insure quality standards are met.
Applications support - Manage the application maintenance and support capability with assigned team and third party support agreements.
Support staff in their accurate determination and resolution of problems that effect users.
Report project status on a regular basis to client and IT management to assure understanding, agreement and attainment of goals.
Work with users to insure that systems are used effectively and provide direction to improve utilizations.<\/li>\n
Assist Director to develop capital and operating budgets.
Assist Director to maintain operating and capital expenses.
Participates in activities related to application rationalization.
Manage staff overtime as appropriate.<\/li>\n
Promote a customer service orientation in the department by serving as a role model and training\/coaching employees about customer service.
Manage interactions with clients to ensure understanding, agreement and attainment of project goals. Communicate completion dates and delays proactively.
Report project status on a regular basis to IT management to assure communication of priorities and projects to all parties.
Establish ongoing professional, respectful, supportive dialogue with clients, staff and peers to ensure good customer relations.
Monitor Change Management tickets for timeliness, quality, and documented processes are followed.
