Job Summary

We are looking for therapists interested in a variety of complex patient populations. The position will rotate to a wide variety of patient populations within the Adult Acute Care hospitals.  In this position you would evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and enhance maximum performance.

Required Qualifications*

• If licensed prior to 2016: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS.
• If licensed on or after 2016: Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment.
• Possession of a current state License to practice therapy in Michigan. New Grads welcome to apply.
• Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered. 

Work Schedule

Schedule to be determined but will include one weekend day as part of the regular schedule, plus occasional holidays.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
