- Perform peak power loss and annualized energy loss studies to ensure projects meet their specified targets<\/li>
- Become competent and proficient in performing additional studies as required per project scope of work (i.e. Insulation Coordination, Harmonics, etc.)<\/li>
- Attend and\/or lead meetings with internal and external customers and provide power study engineering support through design and construction phases<\/li>
- Develop liaison and lead power study design coordination with internal and external teams responsible for project execution<\/li>
- Ensure power study findings and recommendations meet or exceed scope requirements and all applicable codes<\/li>

Scope of Work \u2013 Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:<\/p>
Responsible for SP&C Substation designs for NECEC portfolio in Maine and this includes input into standards and training needs.<\/p>
Will be in charge of Owners Engineering design reviews for the SP&C Scope related to the NECEC Project. Defining P&C criteria, equipment standards, settings in addition to supporting all the commissioning activities for the NECEC project.<\/p>
Position reports to the Manager \u2013 NECEC ST, TL, HVDC TL, but the position will work day-to-day in cross functional project team and support project needs as dictated by the project manager.<\/p>
Major Roles and Responsibilities (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):<\/p>
- NECEC engineering performance including all phases such as: scoping and budgeting, conceptual engineering, contract management and design, engineering design, construction and closeout.<\/li>
- Perform standard and complex electrical engineering analyses, designs and calculations using standard methodology and principles and other viable approaches. Develop alternate methods or design concepts to resolve problems or to improve processes\/services<\/li>
- Responsible for leading and creating new conceptual designs and overseeing the work of external detailed designers.<\/li>
- Solve unique and complex electrical engineering problems. Analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures related to lines and power engineering.<\/li>
