Essential Responsibilities:
- Works with others within immediate work group to obtain basic information. Listens to and addresses performance feedback. - Follows clearly defined procedures and well-defined, specific instructions to complete routine tasks with significant guidance. Collaborates with others within ones team to address basic task issues; communicates status and escalates more complex issues. Adheres to established proceses, procedures, and deadlines, with guidance. Identifies and speaks up for improvement opportunities within own work.
- Learns and applies methodology to mail distribution by: receiving, sorting, filtering, and delivering inter-department and external mail as prescribed with a close degree of supervision; learning commonly used, essential tools to document mail data (e.g., incoming packages); searching for packages that were not received with significant guidance; preparing outgoing mail (e.g., ensuring postage is acquired and in stock) following clearly defined procedures while also posting, delivering, and sorting outgoing mail; and learning to send certified mailing, use mail software (e.g., Walz), and track the certification of receipt electronically.
- Learns how to complete routine shipping tasks by: following clearly defined guidelines and instructions to ensure internal and external shipping standards are met; preparing (pack, label, and stock/restock) routine shipments and materials for outgoing mail to all mail carriers (USPS, DHS, UPS, FedEx) with detailed instructions; and following well-defined, specific instructions regarding changes to shipping standards for improvements to efficiency in preparation process, under close supervision.
- Learns and applies expense management methodology by: engaging in learning to document, as needed.
- Learns about and carries out routine inventory management by: tracking, ordering, stocking, and responding to basic requests for supplies.
- Assisting with vendor relationships by: coordinating repairs or replacements following a well-defined set of procedures, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent OR Minimum one (1) year experience working in a corporate or business office environment.
