Assistant Director for
Career and Technical
Education(CTE) Programs and Building Oversight/Principal
A.W. Beattie Career Center is actively seeking a dedicated, dynamic professional qualified to become our Assistant Director for CTE Programs and Building Oversight/Principal. This position will begin on or around July 1. 2025. This is an outstanding opportunity to engage with a highly motivated tenth through twelfth grade student body that strives for achievement. The staff of A.W. Beattie prides itself on providing a positive career and technical education learning environment for all students. The selected individual will serve as a member of the student assistant team, leader of the crisis intervention assessment team, and serve as the ACT 55 safety coordinator. This position will serve as the Executive Director when the Executive Director is absent or unavailable. The position job description is under revision.
Candidate Requirements: Masters Degree in Workforce Education and Development, Educational Leadership, School Administration or a related field (preferred). PA certification for CTE Director or eligible to obtain PA CTE Director certification (required). Current administrative experience (preferred).
Prospective candidates shall be able to demonstrate experience/understanding in the following areas of leadership and responsibility:
-Positive Student Engagement
-Teacher Effectiveness/Evaluation
-Positive Community Development
-School Safety and Security-PCCD Act 55
-Student Discipline
-Student IEP Process
-School Counseling
-Public Speaking/Appearances
-Curriculum Development
-Comprehensive Planning
