Job Description

Job Description: Purpose: The Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer supports the manufacturing of complex aerospace flight safety components with a concentration on gears (spiral bevels, spurs and helical) This position willdevelop and process precision gears and other related aerospace components throughout the manufacturing process using various aerospace customer specifications and controlling body compliance requirements. Responsibilities: Engineering and manufacturing processing of housings, precision gears and other flight safety components utilizing internal production resources (turning, milling, gear tooth cutting and grinding, heat treating and finish machining) and external vendor processes of NDT, coating and surface preparation, to customer specifications. Create and manage New Product Introduction from PO to first piece approval and succefully handoff to production. Assure component quality compliance to AS9100D, AS9110C, ISO 9001:2015, NADCAP, and specific customer quality requirements. Work within ERP system to process parts for manufacturing. Create standard work processes for plant engineering and production personnel, as well as outside vendors. Develop repair procedures for complex flight safety dynamic components. Lead engineering projects with a focus on maintaining customer satisfaction objectives in quality and on time delivery performance. Liaison between customers and Program Managers in instituting customer requirements into manufacturing processes. Support the Sales team in during the customer quotation process with in-house capability information and process cycle time estimates. Maintain lean principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualification: US Citizen Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering preferred. Must possess 10+ years of Aerospace manufacturing processing job experience, specifically machining (turning and Milling) Must possess experience with CAD/CAM: Siemens NX or similar Familiar with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills Strong innovative and problem-solving skills Project management experience Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) Recruiter: Joe Pitino Phone: 860-530-7970PDN-a22a503e-1413-4311-9fe4-ceeeaa71b9cc
