This role leads the development and implementation of consistent methods to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene standards.
As the Global IET HSE Health & Industrial Hygiene Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Program Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IET HSE Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Programs
- Liaising with BU HSE Directors to improve and maintain industrial health hazard identification reviews and health risk analysis process
- Collaborating with the IET HSE Global Governance Leader to ensure integration and synergy of processes for internal requirements compliance and governance to HSE Management System
- Developing, implementing and managing Industrial Hygiene strategy and program to include Health and safety hazards of chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic stressors
- Managing the use of approved Industrial Hygiene consultants, where required, to implement industrial hygiene evaluations
- Developing and manage trainings relevant to scope
- Developing, implementing and managing Occupational health program in liaison with the global BH Health team. To include oversight of medical surveillance required through the results of IH assessments
- Being the Program Leader for Mental Wellness & Psychological Safety Programs
- Being the Program Leader for IET Traveler safety including blood-borne pathogen program, and medical arrangements through International SOS (ISOS)
- Implementing system for storage and management of SDS to meet requirements of related global regulations
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor's degree in industrial Hygiene (or related field) and extensive experience of related field.
- Have a Diploma of Professional Competence (DipOH) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar certification. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) desired
- Have practical experience in recognising, evaluating, and controlling health-related workplace hazards
- Have experience managing Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Programs
- Have in depth knowledge of Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Chemical Management compliance requirements and arrangements
- Be a self-starter, requires minimal supervision, takes full accountability and has strong sense of ownership
- Fast learner: able to quickly assimilate new functions, structures & dynamics
- Have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Be a clear and strategic thinker: strong problem-solving skills; detail oriented, good business acumen and decision-making skills; recognises and addresses systemic issues, leverages & shares best practices
- Have excellent time management & organisational skills
- Have the ability and willingness to travel 20-30% of time
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)is essential for effective communication across teams and with stakeholders.
- Multilingual candidates are highly valued.Fluency in additional languages should be noted in the application, as this supports our diverse and global work environment
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Have knowledge of audit and reporting systems
- Have experience implementing new programs
- Have experience in working on HSE issues globally
- Have knowledge of ISO 45001
