




About This Role:
As the Finance Partner/Manager - Global Functions, you will play a pivotal role in supporting FP&A activities for the Global Medical and International Center of Excellence (iCOE) organizations. This position reports to the Head of Global Functions Finance and works closely with the Finance Partner for Global Product Strategy & Commercialization (GPS&C) to manage planning and reporting processes. You will lead the Global Functions consolidation process, ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity and accuracy while providing actionable insights to support decision-making. Through collaboration and strategic finance expertise, you will drive financial discipline, streamline resource allocation, and enable informed decisions that support organizational goals. By delivering flawless execution of accounting close and control processes, you'll contribute to the success of the broader Finance organization and enhance Biogen's business impact.
What You'll Do:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for assigned functions.
- Manage monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Present financial outcomes, risks, and opportunities to functional business partners to support informed decision-making.
- Provide strategic finance decision support for business functions, including business case review and vendor contract assessments.
- Develop governance structures and new processes to drive operational efficiency.
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and business cases.
- Identify, resolve, and document business case issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Drive process improvements to enhance automation and accuracy across financial workflows.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accounting oversight.
- Lead the Day 5 close process and support flux analysis for global functions consolidation.
- Prepare earnings materials and provide insights to drivers of functional financial results.
- Collaborate on cross-functional finance projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit.
- Familiarity with Oracle, Hyperion, and Business Objects.
- Distinctive quantitative, critical thinking, and modeling skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Proven ability to build productive working relationships across all levels and teams.
- Attention to detail with an "80/20" mindset for balancing priorities.
- High sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical abilities and business acumen to convey impactful recommendations.

Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree or qualification such as CPA, MBA, or MS degree.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
