




Digital Marketing Strategist - App Promotion
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Marketing Strategist to join our client's team, focusing on promoting a digital app. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing strategies specific to app promotion, with a strong emphasis on the healthcare industry. This role will be responsible for developing and aligning cross-channel marketing efforts across paid, earned, shared, owned media (PESO) and customer support touchpoints.
This is a fully remote freelance role that will range from 25-40 hours/week of work, beginning in July 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide feedback on the current comprehensive marketing strategy to drive app awareness, downloads, engagement, and retention, then executing with appropriate PESO teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (brand, digital, PR, social, media, customer support) to ensure alignment across all PESO channels.
- Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans with clear KPIs.
- Partner with creative and media teams to develop campaign assets and optimize performance.
- Ensure all marketing efforts comply with healthcare and pharma regulations in preparation for MLR review (e.g., FDA, HIPAA).
- Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations.
- Serve as the central point of contact for marketing strategy and execution across internal stakeholders and agency partners.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing and healthcare mobile app promotion.
- Experience scaling health or wellness apps.
- Proven experience in the healthcare or ideally, pharmaceutical industry is required.
- Deep understanding of and experience executing across all PESO channels.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working with or with teams to align messaging and user experience.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements - MLR review.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance and optimize accordingly.
